Biography

Andrew was born in 1834. He was the son of Charles Mitchell and Sarah Sweetman. He passed away in 1910.

Maitland Daily Mercury (NSW : 1894 - 1939), Saturday 20 August 1910, page 4. [2] Death at Boggabrl. The town of Boggabri lost one of its oldest residents on Saturday, 6th instant, when Mr. Andrew Mitchell passed away after a short illness. The late Mr. Mitchell was well known in the sixties and seventies as a carrier. He was a native of the Wollombi, and died at the ripe age of 76 years, leaving a family of four sons and two daughters - Mrs. T. J. and G. W. Elliott, of Boggabri. He had made Boggabri his home for the last 42 or 43 years. The funeral took place on Sunday, 7th instant, and was followed by a large number of his friends.
