Note N210Rodney Mitchell in Anderson, Missouri, called his brother Bill Mitchell in Tularosa, New Mexico, on 24 July 1998, to say he talked to Warren Scritchfield who had found Sam Mitchell's father's name in an old family Bible and the name was Francis M. Mitchell. After Francis Mitchell deserted his wife Helen Victoria Chapple Mitchell and their children, she re-married at some point in time to John Scritchfield. One of John Scritchfield's children was Ward. Ward later married Grace Inez Murray and one of their children was Warren Hence, Sam Mitchell was Warren's grandfather as he was to Rodney, too.
