There's an interesting mention of "son Hugh Malet," "godson Thomas Malet," and "daughter Isabel Malet" in this document, referencing the wills of John Fitzjames, d. 1510, and his widow, Isabella, d. Feb 22, 1527. It's primarily on page 34: https://sanhs.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/14Brown.pdf

I'm pretty sure there's some interesting use of relationship identifiers going on, because I think Isabel should be Isabella's granddaughter, and Hugh her grandson in law, but it's worth looking into, if anyone more qualified than myself ever works on this profile and her ancestors.

Andrew Z posted an extract of her father's will on his profile. According to that source, Isabel was not of marriageable age in 1503. Assuming I am correct that marriageable age was 21 at that time, it places her birthdate after 1482.

edit: A younger birthdate makes considerably more sense than what we have now, which has her bearing children from age 45 to 53. Possible but very unusual.
