DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with John by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with John:

I am unfamiliar with the Mitchell lines. Please feel free toward merge if they indeed tie credibly to the John Rock Smith via adm Samuel Denton, Rev Hezekiah Smith line. Sorry can not be of more assistance at moment..working on deceased mom's home and loss of like 7 close family members within short time frame, and new grandchildren (mom of 5, 9 grandkids)

Esther mitchell smith then daughter esther smith price, etc

Grin. Ever feel like we're doing scripting, having to know our lines?

Should the possible duplicate of Mary Prior Mitchell here be taken care of before the possible merge of the John Mitchell profiles?

Mitchell-22630 and Michell-24 are not ready to be merged because: The spouses don’t match, further research should be done to determine the correct spouse. I will look into this when I find some time, unless someone else has the definitive answer

Are you sure John was married to Mary Lathrop? If he wasn't we should have her removed and merged in with one of the many other Mary Lathrop's since there is not more info for this record.

Thanks, Julie
