Thomas Meekes, son of Thomas & Rebecca Mix was born 30 Aug 1655 in New Haven, New Haven Colony[1]

Baptized
He and several of his siblings were baptized 23 May 1658[2]

Married:
mr Thomas Meex and Hannah ffitch ware married June 30th Anno 1677[3]

Died:
Thomas died July 30, 1706 in Norwich, Connecticut.[4]

Will:
Thomas' estate was probated in New London County (file no 3540) 12 Mar 1706/7. His wife Hannah and son Daniel were administrators. Inventory taken 28 Aug 1706, gives his death date as July 30, 1706, equaled £298.00.08. Abigall had already received 16.11.00. Names of children; Daniel 28, Abigell 25; James 22; Hannah 20; Rabacka 18; A Lizabeth 16; Dorithy 15; Ann 12; Zebediah 9.[5]


Thomas settled upon a farm belonging to Mr. Fitch, east of the Shetucket. A tract of twenty acres, "where his house stands," was confirmed to him July 10, 1680, as a free gift from Mr. Fitch to his daughter. This land was within the bounds of the nine-miles square purchased from the Indians in 1659. They had nine children.[4]

Notes: Died Mar 15 1721/2 is Thomas son of Caleb. Died 15 Dec 1738 is probably also a different Thomas.

This Thomas Mix is not the father of Thomas Mix b. 1709 who married Ruth Manross. Instead, this Thmas Mix is the son of Thomas Mix and Rebecca Turner. So I am going to disconnect him from here as the father, and move him over to those parents instead.
