BOTH HE AND TRAVIS MIXON (EVIDENTLY HIS OLDEST SON) WERE MEMBERS OF LONG'S CO., WILSON'S 5TH BN., GA MOUNTED SOLDIERS, IN THE SEMINOLE WAR. HIS WIDOW, PINEY (PENINA) WAS NAMED ADM. OF HIS ESTATE, ALL CONSISTING OF PERSONAL PROPERTY.
