I first heard of Jean Moffett in a written interview given by her grandson, Thomas Benton Miller, published in COMPENDIUM OF HISTORY, REMINISCENCE AND BIOGRAPHY pp522.3(a folklore/history of Blaine and Loup County Nebraska) published about 1880. He stated that she was born in a town in Tennesee called Moffett, named after her father. I have been unable to verify this.
She is documented in the Clan Moffat Geneology.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Jean by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Jean:
Moffett-412 and Moffett-281 appear to represent the same person because: Jean (Banks) Moffett is the wife of Thomas S Banks. I wrote the wrong date of marriage, your is correct. They are the same person. Her father is Samuel Moffett and he married Mary Donaldson. Their daughter is Mary Minerva Banks who married William Harvey Miller, my gggrandfather. I wrote an event of her death that was unusual, and part of our families' tragedies.
