Biography

January 1904 born in the first quarter of 1904, Harrow On The Hill, Middlesex, London, England ^[1].

30th March 1920 Archibald immigrated to St. Catherine’s, Lincoln County, Ontario, Canada as a farm labourer. Next of kin was A. J. Montague of 49 Scrufton Road, Ilford, London, Essex, England.

1923 Archibald married Annie Hilda Stear St. Catherine’s, Ontario, Canada and was now a motor mechanic. The marriage certificate shows Archibald’s name as Archie Roy Montague but has his parents names so I know this is my relation.

Between 1923 and 1925 Archibald and Annie had two children Arthur Jefferson Montague and Ruby Montague. Between 1925 and 1927 Archibald returned back to England alone for reasons unknown. Died June 1962 Banbury, England?.

NOTE : I have found another Archibald J Montague who married Margaret Allanson in Gateshead, England but this is not my Great Uncle.
