Pieter Monfoort was baptised on July 21, 1652 at New Amsterdam, at the St Nicholas Reformed Dutch Church.[3] Baptism was recorded at the Reformed Dutch Church of New Amsterdam (later New York, New York); sponsors were Enoch de Clerq, Philip le Graet, Sara Rapalje, and Heyltie Pieters.[4]

Pieter Pieterse Monfoort married Marretje P. Luyster in 1676 in Flatlands, Long Island, New York, United States.[5] She was daughter of Peter Luyster. Did she also use the given name of Jannetje?
