Hi Joycelyn, I see you merged this profile with another and she wound up with a last name of Gould. From the source, it looks like her birth name was Wells, like her father's so she should have that last name as well. Merges are very important, thanks for helping with that, but we do want to merge correctly. Here is a link for merge help. http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Merging

Greetings!

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.

Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.

If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.

Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page.

Hi Jocelyn, and welcome to WikiTree! You mentioned your ancestors in Scotland. I wanted to let you know we have a great project that focuses on Scottish Clans here called Scottish Clans Project It would be a great place for you to get involved once you have settled into WikiTree.

You may find some of your ancestors are already on WikiTree and the people in the Scottish Clan Project will be happy to help you in any way they can. The site you want for BMD and census info for Scotland is http://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk/

Thank you so much for joining WikiTree. Good luck with your research.

I would like to help the WikiTree community by providing any information I have about my family. I have extensive information about the Duckett (Maryland) and Mooers (Maine, Massachusetts, New Brunswick) families, but would like to know more about my Johnson (Sweden) and McGilvary (Scotland, Canada) ancestors.
