Obituary
Betty Jean Dobbins, 85, of St. Paul, passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at Major Hospital in Shelbyville.
She was born March 20, 1928, in Shelby County, the daughter of Harry and Lillian (Young) Moore.
Survivors include her daughters, Jean Swinehart of Indianapolis, Beverly (husband, Dean) Johns of Paris, Texas, Joyce Nolley of Columbus and Robin (fiancé, Phillip Griffin) Nolley of St. Paul; sons, Donnie (Rosellen Meek) Nolley of Lake Helen, Florida, Roger (wife, Brenda) Nolley of St. Paul, Gary Baker and Tommy Dobbins, both of Shelbyville; 23 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Clever Nolley and Gene Dobbins; son, Ricky Nolley; brother, Billy; sisters, Josephine, Grace, Mary and Reva; granddaughter, Dawnielle Sweet; and a great-granddaughter.
Betty was a lifelong resident of Shelby County.
She enjoyed riding her scooter to Walmart and watching people. She also enjoyed crocheting, working sudoku and jigsaw puzzles and spending time on her laptop.
Betty formerly attended Little Blue River Friends Church.
She was a fun person to be around.

My Grandma Betty and her 2nd husband Gene raised me from birth until I was 2 years and 9 months old, when I finally went to live with my mom. We were close when I was a child, but grew apart as I grew older, I use to spend the night with her when I was 10 years old and we use to stay up all night playing the board game `aggravation`
