Welcome to our community, Patrick. The more ancestors you add, the more likely cousins will find you and help expand your tree even further. :)

Our Honor Code, G2G forum, help pages, search features, and many other useful links can be accessed from the menus on the upper right corner of most pages.

Please consider stopping by the Tree House to introduce yourself.

VERY IMPORTANT: The more documents, sources, dates, and locations you provide on the profiles you create, the stronger your branches and our mutual global tree will be. If you don't know the correct date, please estimate using before or after.

Thank you for helping in our mission to build a global tree with only ONE profile per person.

Hope you enjoy WikiTree!

I, James Patrick Moore, have close to 250 family names listed on Ancestry.com. My most notable family member is J H Moore of Barlow, Ballard County, Kentucky, born March 28, 1829, in Obion County, TN. His father, Samuel, was born in 1801 and died in 1859 in Ballard County, Kentucky. Samuel's father was John Moore of Henry, Kentucky. Samuel's father was John Moore; it appears john's father was also named John. John Moore Sr. appears to have purchased land or received a grant from Benjamin Borden James Moore, 13th April, 1743 of 100 acres (List of deeds recorded in Orange County executed by Benjamin Borden, 1734-1745. The record stated: "and shall build and improve on said 100 acres by 1st April next. Witnessed by

John McDowell. Dated 21st February, 1738-9." Augusta, Virginia
