Sidney Darling Moore enlisted on September 3, 1864 with the 27th Regiment North Carlina Infantry (State Troops). He was captured at Hatchers run, near Petersburg, Va on March 25, 1865. He arrived at City Point, VA on March 28, 1865. He was released on June 15, 1865, after taking oath of allegiance to the United States
