George Moores was baptised at St Laurence's, Combe, Oxfordshire on 26th December 1813.[1] He was the son of George and Mary. His father stated on the register that he was a labourer.
George Moore, bachelor of the parish of Combe, Oxfordshire and Phoebe Crawford, spinster of the parish of Hanborough were married after banns at St Peter and St Paul, Church Hanborough on 9th October 1834. Neither could write so they both made their mark on the register with a cross and the witnesses to the marriage were Richard Eaton and Rebecca Crawford.[2]
