Ossining Citizen-Sentinel, January 2?, 1926, p. 1: "..... Two Autos, Dies: Mrs. James Worden, of Croton Ave., Latest Victim." [summary of full text] accident while she was crossing N. Highland Ave at Westchester Bridge at 6:45 PM last night and died at the Ossining Hospital at 4:10 this morning. First struck and knocked down by one car then by another behind a second car that swerved to avoid her... the right wheel of this third car went over her head. She was rushed to the hospital in a taxicab, both arms broken, compound fraction to the pelvis and a badly lacerated scalp. "She was born in Ireland and had been a resident of Ossining for over 40 years.. Besides her husband, Mrs. Worden is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Earl Heath and Miss Alice, and three sons, John, Robert and Lorimer. Her brother, Robert Moore, lives at Pocantico Hills.
