Minnie was active in the Women's Christian Temperance Association and other women's groups as noted in the North Dakota History Archives. She lived in Englevale, LaMoure, and Lisbon North Dakota. Stories were told about her taking an axe and riding a train to Kansas to bust up bars with groups of women. Interned at Oakwood Cemetery in Lisbon, ND.
