Biography

Levina Angelina Moore was born in 1841.

In 1860,^[1] Luvenia Moore (age 18, born Alabama) was living in Fayette County, Alabama in the household of her father, W. O. Moore (age 44, born Tennessee), with her mother, Mary Moore (age 44, born Tennessee), with her unmarried Moore siblings, all born in Alabama (age, sex): i) Elizabeth (20, F), ii) John A. (20, M), iii) Carson (17, M), iv) Narcissa (15, F), v) Rebecca (12, F), vi) William (10, M), vii) Margaret (8, F), viii) Amanda (6, F), ix) Harriet (4, F). William Owens Moore (her father) was a farmer by occupation, and hehad real and personal estate valued at $1,000 and $6,000, respectively. The magnitude of the later suggests that he was holding enslaved persons.
