Biography

He went to New Zealand. He was the son of James Moore and Sophia Hannah, of Ireland. He had 5 sisters and a brother. Younger sister Mary Jayne also came to New Zealand and married Antonio Gussie (Gussy).

Marriage and family

He married Miriama Ngaraka Hauiti Te Whareputara, the daughter of Te Whareputara of Ngati Pikiao and Kahuwhariki, and they had 15 children.

Death and burial

He died on 30 July 1901, aged 76. He was buried in Kauae Cemetery Ngongotaha.
