Charity was born about 1850. She was the daughter of Babel Moore and Nancy Wakefield.[1]

Charity Moore married Robert Patton May 31, 1870, in Burke County, North Carolina, USA.[1]

Charity Patton died February 9, 1873. She was buried in Drucilla Independent Fundamental Cemetery in Dysartsville, McDowell County, North Carolina, USA.[2]
