Biography

Abija Moore (b. 1705), was a physician in Middletown, who died 12/18/1759. Abija was the son of Richard Moore of Needham and Oxford Mass, and Mary Collins (b. 6/16/1672). Mary Collins was the 5th daughter of Samuel and Mary (Marvin) Collins (d. 1713/14), daughter of Reynold Marvin of Lyme CT, then a part of Saybrook.[1]

Abijah married Annah Ward on 9 October 1729 in Middletown, Hartford, Connecticut.[2]

Abija and Anna had 12 children. After Anna passed,[3] Abija married Mrs. Abigail Goodwin (presumably a widow).[4]

Abijah was born in 1704. He passed away in 1759.

  • Residence (1705) Sudbury, Middlesex, Massachusetts

Moore-46134 and Moore-27910 appear to represent the same person because: Same DOD, same wife, same Place of Birth and similar DOB

Moore-27910 and Moore-44159 appear to represent the same person because: They still need to be merged so that there are not duplicate people on Wikitreee. It will not mess anything up if you edit the merged profile.

Moore-27910 and Moore-44159 do not represent the same person because: I rejected this match because it looked like it might mess things up. Instead, I edited Martha Moore Root's parents to the older, more detailed versions of Abija and Anna Ward Moore. I also added a link to Martha's find-a-grave entry, which includes a photo of her headstone. - AK
