The William Ward Bible was treasured for many years by Mrs. James Duke Moore, Sr. nee Catherine Ward and after her death on Aug 1, 1892, came into the care of Mrs. James D. Moore, Jr., nee Ann Pines Phillips. Ann was born June 9, 1841; married Robert Bailey, Jr. on April 11, 1859, and some years after his death, married James D. Moore, Jr. on Oct 4, 1871.
