Henry Moore was the son of Charles Moore and his wife Alice Loftus [1] & [2]
Henry Moore, 1st Earl of Drogheda m. Alice Spencer, 5th daughter of William Spencer, 2nd Baron Spencer of Wormleighton and his wife Lady Penelope Wriothesley. [1] & [2]
He succeeded to the title of 3rd Baron Moore, 3rd Viscount Moore of Drogheda on his father's death and confirmed by the King 1634 when he was given a troop of horse and the governorship of counties Meath & Louth [2]
About 1643 He inherited the estates of his grandfather Adam Loftus at Monasterevan, County Kildare and Mountmellick, Queen's county (now county Leix). [3]
In 1653 he was granted an exemption of full sequestration of his house and estate of Mellifont co. Louth [2]
He was created 1st Earl of Drogheda by patent on 14 June 1661. and granted a license to transport wool into England. [1] & [2]
Henry Moore, 1st Earl of Drogheda died in 1675. and was succeeded by his son Charles. [1]
