I realize it's been some time since these messages were posted, but I hope you can help me. I believe that my great-grandfather, William Davis Moore, was the son of Nathaniel's brother, William H. Moore, but have never found proof. But the repetition of names is convincing, I think. William Davis Moore had a grandson, Henry Dyke Moore (my mother's brother, there was a cousin Isabell, and so on - too many to ignore. By the way - William H Moore's wife was a sister of Nathaniel's wife Margaret.
I have seen the grave of Margaret D. Moore, wife of Nathaniel D., in Kansas. She died there, apparently, in a town where the wife of Henry D. Moore settled with the children. The grave of Nathaniel was not marked there.
I can look up the information on her death date if you are interested.
I am descended from Nathaniel L. Moore, a son of Henry D. Moore and Martha Malinda Gillespie.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with William by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with William:
