Ann Moore Sparks was born to Captain Samuel Moore and his wife, Sarah Haynes Moore, about 1730. She died in 1802. She married William Sparks who was the son of William Sample Sparks. [1]

Is there any source, or even any theory, for why William's wife Ann, consistently referred to as Ann in records in Maryland and North Carolina, would be "Martha Ann Moore", from Massachusetts, whose family never left Framingham? That seems quite a stretch. (The linked FamilySearch profile below is an absolute mess conflating multiple people, so that's not a great sign.) Looks like the merges several years ago should be reversed.
