Biography

Andrew Moreland was born about 1819 in Tennessee, United States. His parents were also born in Tennessee according to the 1880 census.

He married Mary. She was about three years younger, also born in Tennessee.

He lived in Crawford in Crawford County, Missouri in 1850 with wife Mary and children Sarah Ann, Elisabeth, John, George and William. Laffaette and Louisa Murry also lived with them. Possibly Marys family? Gorge Moorland 75, years old also lived with them. Perhaps Andrews father.

They had seven children in Johnson Township, Maries in Missouri in 1860: Sarah, Elizabeth, John, George, William, Margret and Melissa.^[1]

In 1870 he lives with Sara J (second wife?) and children Sarah A, George, William, Melvina, Burkhart William, Allis A, Nancy and Olivia in Johnson, Maries.^[2]

In 1880 he lives with wife Sarah J and children Ann, Nancy and Andrew B. Stepdaughter Alice A Burkhartt also lives with them.^[3]

Previous unsourced birth: ca 1830 in Sweden (uncertain), but he was born in Tennessee according to every census record.
