William was born in 1922. He is the son of Albert Morgan and Mary Record. He passed away in 2013.

William David Leo Morgan, 91, of Lewisburg, died Tuesday, August 27, 2013, at NHC Lewisburg.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Lone Oak Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday at London Funeral Home.

He was a native of Nashville and was the son of the late Reverend Albert Johnson Morgan and Mrs. Mary Record Morgan. He was a veteran of the Army Air Force and retired from Faber-Castell. He was also preceded in death by sisters, Mary Morgan Walls and Alice Morgan Kousser; and brother, Albert Record Morgan.

Survivors include his wife Barbara Cunningham Morgan; daughters, Mary Alice Morgan Ingram of Lewisburg and Laura Ann Morgan of Lawrence, Kan.; sons, Bill Morgan, Jr. of South Lyon, Mich. and John Morgan of Cookeville; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to First United Methodist Church or to the charity of your choice.

London Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

William D. "Bill" Morgan, 91, of Lewisburg, passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2013, at NHC Lewisburg.

He was born December 16, 1921, in Nashville, Tennessee, and was the son of the late Reverend Albert Johnson Morgan and Mrs. Mary Record Morgan. After attending Vanderbilt University, he entered the Army Air Force during World War II, serving in Italy and North Africa. Upon discharge in 1946, he began working for Linton Pencil Company, which later became Faber-Castell. He retired from Faber-Castell in 1988.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Lewisburg, and sang in the choir for more than sixty years. He was active in the development of Marshall County Community Theatre and participated in many of their productions. He was a former president of the Lewisburg Lions Club.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Mary Morgan Walls, and Alice Morgan Kousser, and brother, Albert Record Morgan.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Barbara Cunningham Morgan; daughters, Mary Alice Morgan Ingram of Lewisburg, and Laura Ann Morgan of Lawrence, Kansas; and sons, Bill Morgan, Jr. of South Lyon, Michigan, and John Morgan of Cookeville, TN.; grandchildren, Clyde Ingram, III, of Gallatin, TN, Laura Ingram of Lewisburg, Nichole, Lauren, and Kelli Morgan of Algood, TN; and three great-grandchildren.
