Biography
The 1880 Census shows James living with his parents, Thomas R. Morgan, Menni J. Morgan along with siblings, Nancy 5 and J.W. 11/12 (Aug).
James Edward Morgan is married to Ossie for six years according to the 1900 US Census. They have a daughter named Ora who was born in June 1895. The 1910 Census says the couple have Ora 14 and Velma Sue 8. The 1920 Census shows he now has a daughter named Charline, 8.
The 1930 Census shows James as head of the house. Ossie, his wife lives with him. Also listed is James Farmer, 9,grandson, born in Louisiana, Orsknel, 4,granddaughter, born in Louisiana, and Dora Farmer, 58 and widowed, Sister-in-law. ( I wonder if the granchildren listed are actually Dora's) Also Jessie R. Davis, 17, Negro is their servant.
The 1940 census says James is 68, lives with wife Ossie, daughter Charline Morgan, 28, Ora Nell, 14, granddaughter, and Dora, 70, widowed, sister-in-law.
