Biography

Dudley Morgan was born on March 11, 1773, in New London, CT, to Samuel Morgan and Deliverance Rathbone.^[1]

Dudley married Easther/Esther Brown on Feb. 18, 1783 in Preston CT. The marriage record states that he resided in Stonington and she resided in Groton.^[2]

The 1830 US Census shows Dudley living in Woodstock CT.^[3]

"A History of James Morgan . . ." lists Dudley's and Esther's children as : John 23 Apr 1783 Amos 9 Oct 1784 - 7 May 1786 Eunice 18 Feb 1786 Sally 7 April, 1787 Sophia 18 Sept 1788 Dudley 8 Jan 1790 George 10 May 1792^[4]

Dudley is listed as father on the death record of Ursula Putney. Her birth year is estimated as 1799 and her death date is given as April 18, 1864.^[5]

Per Find A Grave, Dudley died in 1836 and is buried in East Woodstock Cemetery, Woodstock, CT^[6]
