Mark was born on 7 February 1837, Hunslet, Leeds, Yorkshire & Baptised, on 12 March 1837, Leeds, St. Peter, Yorkshire the son of George Morley & Hannah. ^{[1] [2]}

In 1851, Mark was a farm servant in Brayton, Selby, Yorkshire. ^[3]

The marriage of Mark Morley & Jane Kellet was conducted on 21 February 1857, Monk Fryston, Yorkshire. ^{[4] [5]}

Mark was a farm labourer in 1861, living with wife & daughter Leah, in Burn, Yorkshire. ^[6]

In 1871, Mark, with wife, Jane and sons Ephraim & George were living in Burn, Yorkshire. ^[7]

In 1891, Mark, wife Jane and children Arthur & Annie were living in Burn, Yorkshire. ^[8]
