Biography

John Morley was born on 7 February 1716/17 at Glastonbury, Hartford, Connecticut. He was a son of Thomas (Morly) Morley Jr and Elizabeth (Wickham) Morley.

John Morley married Sarah (Green) Morley (1723-aft.1753) on 23 September 1737 in Glastonbury, Hartford, Connecticut. The couple had 8 children:

  5. Sarah Morley
  6. Dimmock Morley
  7. Abner Morley
  8. Hannah Morley

John Morley died on 31 August 1766 at New York, New York.

I have reviewed your family tree and info.
I have enjoyed your detailed reserch I only wish My was this complete. But I have found nothing that can be of any connection to my Morley Family Tree. Even though We did have Family living in N.Y. areas during the early 1800's.
My ggggg-Grandfather Dimmmick Morley 1750-1834 and Family, Sons Abner 1781-1840's & Luther 1795-1866? was living in Smyrna, N.Y. 1803 to Mid-1830's. When his Grandsons; Willard 1809-1875,Leonard 1821-1896(myside), Calvin 1819-1898 & other Boys Moved to Verquoia,WI in 1850's. Dimmick's father John Morley 1717-1776 Died in the Rev. War at the "Battle at Long Is." His father was Thomas Morley,Jr.1884-1772 from Glastonbury, Ct. and 2nd son of Thomas Morley abt.1664-1712 Windsor,Ct. by way of England Descendant.
