It has pleased God to take away by death on Friday the 26th of August at 11 OClock at night in the year Eighteen Hundred and Eighty one at Flat Rock, Henderson County, North Carolina my beloved wife Margaret Ann Grimball, daughter of the late Col. Lewis Morris of Morrisania, in the state of New York and of his wife Elizabeth Manigault of Charleston SoCa - Aged 71 years 3 months and 15 days. [signed] John Berkley Grimball[2]
