Biography

Birth

Andrew Morrison, son of James Morrison, was born around 1748, probably in Pennsylvania.

Marriage

He married Margaret Potts on 18 February 1768 in Rowan County, North Carolina.[1]

Death

Andrew died around age 22 in 1769 or 1770.

Research Notes

The question has been raised as to whether this Andrew Morrison is the same as the Andrew Morrison found at Find a Grave. That Andrew died at age 26 on 7 February 1780, whereas the present Andrew had to have died in 1769 or 1770. Most genealogies have asserted that an Andrew Morrison was married to Margaret Potts, daughter of Moses Potts, until her death in 1828. However, Margaret Potts, daughter of Moses Potts, in fact married a second time to John Stewart in 1777.
