According to his tombstone, Samuel Morrow was born 23 Jan 1816, and died 16 May 1864 at Glendale, Ohio.[1] Census records indicate he was born in Tennessee, and his family appears in Knox County throughout his life. He is buried in Old Gray Cemetery in Knoxville.[1]
Samuel is the son of William and Isabella (Mebane) Morrow. He is enumerated in Knox County, Tennessee in 1860 with Isabella Morrow, age 70. The will of William Morrow of Knoxville, Tennessee in 1830 names wife Isabella and, among other children, under age son Samuel.
