Mary Morrow is the daughter of William Morrow and Ruth Parham of Virginia. She was born 17 October 1783 in Spartanburg County, South Carolina. Mary married David M. Parris by 1800 and for about the next thirty years they lived in Spartanburg County, South Carolina. By 1830 they were in Haywood County, North Carolina. Mary died 9 March 1859 in Jackson County, North Carolina and is buried in Keener Cemetery, Sylva, Jackson County, North Carolina.
David and Mary have added six additional children; three sons and three daughters under age 10. If I counted correctly, that makes twelve in twenty years.
David and Mary have added two more children; a son and daughter age 5-9. They moved to North Carolina about 1825. All of their children appear to have been born in Spartanburg County, South Carolina.
David has not been located on the 1840 census; wife Mary is found on the 1850 census with daughter, Talitha, in Haywood County. Note: Jackson County, North Carolina was formed from parts of Haywood and Macon Counties in 1851.
The widowed Mary and her daughter Talitha are living in the household with Joseph and Nancy Messer and their children. I do not know of any relationship between them or why Mary would be in this household.
Mary was born in 1778. She passed away in 1859.
