Biography

Dandridge Morrow married Elizabeth Kirtley in 1840 in Woodford Kentucky. They had 10 known children, 7 sons and 3 daughters. A farmer, he migrated to Ray County, Missouri, then to Grayson County, Texas. After Elizabeth died, Dandridge married Martha Ann (Southwood) Turpin in Grayson County, Texas in 1886.

It should be noted that the 1870 Grayson County, Texas Census lists the Dandridge Morrow family with the last name as “John” in families 371 and 372. This is interpreted as an error by the enumerator when they finalized their documentation. All other data seems to be consistent with census and family information obtained from other sources.
