Thomas Morrow was one of the earliest permanent white settlers in Hayden's Ferry, Arizona Territory (now the City of Tempe). Thomas owned a large ranch south of the Charles T. Hayden store and mill located downtown. Thomas Morrow helped develop one of the earliest modern irrigation systems in the valley. He served as a director of the Tempe Irrigating Canal Company. He had a family of 12 children, many of whom have living descendants who still reside in and around Tempe. Thomas came to Arizona Territory in 1871.
Military
Thomas Morrow served in the Confederate Army during the American Civil War and was captured twice during his service.
