DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Hugh by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Hugh:

I have my doubts on the validity of the death date attributed to this profile. None of the attributed sources seem to support it and many of the source links at Ancestry.Com no longer work.

There are a number of children born after 1722 which would appear to be offspring of this Hugh.

Morton-186 and Morton-1240 are not ready to be merged because: Need more than a child with the same name to prove this is the same person, first names are also not same. More research is needed before a match can be made.
