Jonathan was born in 1809. He is the son of Jonathan Morton and Betty Bowron.

Baptism

On 10 Sep 1809 Jonathan Morton, of Middleton, born 2 Sep 1809, 2nd son of Jonathan Morton (miner) by his wife Batty [Elizabeth] Bowron (native of Cotherstone, Romaldkirk, Yorkshire) was baptised at Middleton in Teesdale, St Mary the Virgin. [1]
