Biography

Elijah M. Morton was born on 9 February 1848 in Jackson County, Alabama, son of Jeremiah Morton (~1809–~1869) and Winney Easley (~1811–~1907).

Elijah (20) married Deborah A. Sparks (17) on 20 February 1868 in Osage County, Missouri, USA.[1] His brother, Jesse, married his wife's sister and a niece married her brother. Their children were:

He died on 27 February 1906 in Shannon County, Missouri, aged 58.[5]
