Biography

William Lewis Morton was born 3 Jan 1774 in Charlotte County, Virginia[1], son of Josiah Morton (1737–1785) and Elizabeth Venable (1739–1778).

When William Lewis was about 24 he married Elizabeth Morton on 25 October 1798 in Charlotte County, Virginia, United States.[2][3]

William's daughter Elizabeth F Morton married Samuel L Venable on 20 December 1826 in Charlotte, Virginia, United States.[4]

Wm's son Tazewill S Morton died on 23 December 1853 in Petersburg, Virginia, United States.[5]

William died on 17 May 1850 as the result of pneumonia after a illness of 30 days.[1] His occupation was listed as farmer.

William was mentioned on a memorial in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg, Petersburg City, Virginia, United States with a death date of 17 May 1850.[1]
