Rachel was born on 5 October 1703 to Samuel Morton of Moyallon. After the death of her husband Thomas Greer, she re-married a Mr. Hewit. She passed away on 24 April 1792.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Rachel by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Rachel:
Morton-12977 and Morton-4879 appear to represent the same person because: This family group may be duplicated. The name of Makamson being possibly a misreading of Malcomsom.
I hope you don't mind. I have removed he reference to her dying in Georgia as I don't have a source for it and it seems unlikely. If you do have evidence for this please add it back. (And please let me know what the source is.)
There is lots of documentation on this family showing that these two profiles represent the same person.
