Joseph Morton was the son of Richard Morton (abt.1640-1710) and Ruth (Edwards) Morton (abt.1645-1714).

Joseph Married in 1665-1666 Mary (Marsh) Morton (1678-1730).

"On 6 March 1708-9, Joseph sold out lot #7, also the house in the great fort where they lived and removed to Hatfield."
