Drury was born in 1829 in Alabama, the son of James Morton & Mary Durham.[1]
He married Mary Ann Hallmark on the 25th of November 1854 in Blount County, Alabama, USA[2] Their children were Celina, Mirilda, Cerena, Winnie, Rosetta, John, James and Alice.
He served with the Alabama State Cavalry in the War Between the States.
He died in 1875 in Henderson County, Texas. He is buried at Cottonwood Cemetery, Henderson County, Texas.[3]

Find A Grave seems to be only place using name James-documentation? Only other place the name James appears is on death certificate for daughter Alice who wasn't born until 1873 and died 1954. Did informant even know his name?
