From Jack Moss: "Sol met Rose Cohen in a subway. The story is he finished reading a newspaper and she picked it up to read. Sol moved to Queens where he was a furrier. He made coats and jackets for Macy’s. Sol was the business end of the business and Abraham was the sales and customer service person. Abraham decided to move to Brooklyn with Hannah and opened a candy store. Sol and Rose married on February 2, 1925. Sol became a U.S. Citizen on April 11, 1933. Sol did not like the Fur business and was afraid of getting anthrax disease from the furs. He purchased the candy store from his parents and he and Rose moved to Brooklyn. They had three children, Jack, who had polio when he was one year old. He was paralyzed on the right side. Sol heard of and experimental medicine that at doctor in Manhattan was experimenting with. He stole the medicine from the Manhattan hospital and brought to back to Jack’s doctor in Brooklyn and told him to use it"
