Biography

John was born on 24 Oct 1814 and was baptized 7 years later in Grand Coteau, Louisiana. He was the son of Henry Moss and Ann Rion. [1]

He married Martha Lyons, the daughter of Michel Lyons, on 16 Feb 1841 in Lafayette, Louisiana. [2] [3]

He died on 9 May 1860 and was buried in H.J. Moss Cemetery in Moss Lake, Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana. [4]
