I have since found from Dalton’s family there was a very distant connection with Great Grandfathers to the Dalton family. The son who changed his name to Halcom (his Mother’s maiden name) was hunted for being a horse thief.

Web Mosteller told his children she married a member of the Dalton Gang. I could not find any connection. Martha and James moved to Texas and settled. Talked to a family member in TX and she had never heard the story.
