Mott-1025 and Mott-1559 appear to represent the same person because: Sorry, I reacted too quickly. I have profiles for both branches of Motts - Long Island and Rhode Island. These two Abigails are the same person.

Mott-1559, Abigail Lydia (Mott) Moore was born on Long Island and her ancestors were from Long Island. This is according to the Encyclopedia of American Quaker Genealogy Vol III pg. 428 https://www.ancestry.com/imageviewer/collections/3753/images/quakergenvoliii-003016?pId=16857 . As one can see, it is a record the Westbury Monthly Meeting which is clearly in New York. Mott-1025 lists exactly the same source. So how can it be claimed that my Motts are from Rhode Island and his are from Long Island ? Or maybe it's vice versa which also makes no sense. Unless the source that we are both using is wrong the rejection makes no sense.

Mott-1559 and Mott-1025 do not represent the same person because: The Mott family of Long Island are not the same as the Mott family of Rhode Island. Both families have Adam Motts. See this:

Mott-1559 and Mott-1025 appear to represent the same person because: The information from both profiles is supported. The only difference is that Mott-1559 has a lot more information than Mott-1025.
