Biography

John Mohler has German Roots.

Johannes (John) Mohler was baptized on 22 September 1739 at Billigheim, Bergzabern, Bavaria, Germany. His parents were listed as Heinrich Mohler, shepherd, and Maria Catharina. The sponsors for his baptism were Johannes Kuhn, citizen and resident of Mörzheim and Apolonia his wife[1]

Johannes [John] came to America on the ship "Leslie" (with his father Henry Mohler) arriving in Philadelphia on 7 October 1749.

John was born in 1739 and with his wife, Susannah and brother Valentine, moved to Rowan County, North Carolina. There he raised a family of eight children. John sold his farm in 1795 and moved with his son, Felta to Grainger, now Union County, Tennessee He died 27 May1810, and was buried 3 miles north of Maynardsville, Tennessee. Susannah died about 1835 and is buried beside her husband.

Jesse Butcher was the husband of George's sister. Note: In the letter.

A distinct mutation that had to have happened from Henry Mohler (b. 1711) to his son John, which identifies anyone with an 11 on that marker(511) is being from John.

This profile need major corrections. It has combined two different individuals (Johann Jacob born in 1736) and his brother John (Johannes) born about 1738 into one person as well as combined children of both persons (as well as children of other Mohler/Moulders).
