Biography

Joan Mowbray was born in 1248 at Axholme, Lincolnshire, England.

She was the daughter of Roger de Mowbray.

Joan died in 1316 at Castle Rising, Norfolk, England.

Marriage

Joan married Sir Robert de Mohaut about 1261. [1] They had two sons, Roger and Robert, and one daughter, Cecily (wife of Sir William, 1st Lord Morley). [2]

Parents

Joan de Mowbray is the daughter of Sir Roger de Mowbray and his first wife, (Miss) de Furnival, daughter of Sir Thomas Furnival by Bertha, the daughter of William de Ferrers, Earl of Chester. [3] [4] (Maud de Beauchamp was Sir Roger de Mowbray's second wife.)
