MRS. SALLIE SLEISHER DEAD

Mrs. Sallie E. Sleisher, 422 West Eighth, died at 8 o'clock Wednesday night at St. Mary's hospital.

Sallie Ellen Moyer, daughter of the last Michael L. and Annie Moyer, was born October 31, 1864, near Hummelstown, Pa., and the family moved to Emporia in 1875. She married James M. Sleisher in Emporia on December 28, 1887, and they lived most of their married life on a farm north of Emporia. He preceded her in death on April 3, 1925.

Survivors include one son, Allan T. Sleisher, Emporia, Hiawatha; four daughters, Mrs. J. C. Levett, 924 State, Mrs. C. L. Carroll, of De Soto, Mrs. Roy Crawford, of 422 West Eighth, and Mrs. E. L. Seidel, Dodge City; one brother, M. L. Moyer, Fresno, Calif.; three granddaughters and two grandsons; five great-grandchildren.

She was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran church, the Program and Promotion group of the women's society of the church, Past Oracles club, Royal Neighbors of America and the Women's Relief corp.

Funeral services for Mrs. Sallie Ellen Sleisher, 422 West Eighth, who died December 3 at St. Mary's hospital, were held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon in the Roberts-Blue chapel. Rev. Olney Eaton, pastor of St. Mark's Lutheran church, was in charge. A quartet, composed of Mrs. Eaton, Mrs. Herman Baehr, Melvin Johnson and Porter Clark, sang, accompanied by Mrs. Clark. Burial was in Maplewood cemetery.

Pallbearers were W. E. Hayes, Albert L. Sleisher, Walter Melton, W. H. Diggs, Harold Snider and Floyd K. Powell.

Out-of-town persons present were Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Carroll, De Soto, Mo.; Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Seidel and daughter Sally, Garden City; Mr. and Mrs. Allan Sleisher, Hiawatha; Mrs. Max Huebner, De Kalb, Ill.; Mrs. Erma Edwards, Miss La Verna Hayes and Mrs. W. E. Hayes, all of Dunlap; Mr. and Mrs. Albert L. Sleisher and Mrs. Jessie Sleisher, all of Neosho Rapids; Mr. W. M. King, Fairfax, Okla; Mr. and Mrs. Richard W. Owen, Kansas City, Mo.
